Aaron Wan-Bissaka an upgrade on Kieran Trippier at Tottenham? Danny Murphy tips Crystal Palace ace to join top Premier League club
Danny Murphy has tipped Crystal Palaces Aaron Wan-Bissaka for a big future at one of the Premier Leagues biggest clubs suggesting he could be an upgrade on Kieran Trippier for Tottenham. The 21-year-old has enjoyed a brilliant breakthrough season for the Eagles and has even been linked with a senior call-up to Gareth Southgates England team.3Wan-Bissaka has been one of the most effective defenders in the top flight this season he has won more tackles (71) than any other player Europes elite leagues this season. He impressed once again in Palaces 3-1 victory over Burnley on Saturday following his return from injury, and Murphy believes he could fit straight into some of the top teams in the country – including his former club Tottenham, where Trippier is suffering. The Spurs defender earned plaudits for his form at the summers World Cup for England, and was hailed as the Three Lions next long-term right-back. But his club form has steadily plummeted this season and he has faced criticism from his own fans for his performances most recently for his horror show in the 2-0 defeat to Chelsea. And Murphy suggests Wan-Bissaka could be an option for Spurs, as well as a number of the Premier Leagues top-six clubs.Hes looking like the real deal, the former Spurs midfielder told talkSPORT host Jim White.Hes super athletic and confident in his ability to defend one-on-one, which is ultimately what you do in that position. He can defend but he gets forward and carries an attacking threat as well.Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been a key player for Crystal Palace this season3

Unfortunately for Palace fans, maybe they will keep him another year and it wouldnt do him any harm playing more Premier League games and getting experience there. But if you look at Manchester United, theres gaping hole for a right-back and Arsenals back-four needs improvement.Has he overtaken Kieran Trippier, or can he? Do Tottenham want to upgrade? Because Trippier doesnt play ever week, Mauricio Pochettino switches between him and Serge Aurier, so is he not sure?I do think this lad is that special, that it deserves a mention.Kieran Trippier scored an embarrassing own goal at Stamford Bridge3

Ive watched him a lot this season and hes absolutely quality. Hes so quick, hes aggressive in his running and he makes things happen, but his defensive abilities are his strength.Nobody causes him problems one-on-one, you cant outrun him! Hes not stupid, he doesnt dive in, he doesnt try to win it too early or too quickly, which a lot of young defenders do.He looks happy to defend and enjoys it.I think to get him out of Crystal Palace youd have to pay over 40million.
