However, the manager could not confirm when Ozil suffered the problem – ‘did not know’, Emery replied when asked – while he also failed to offer insight as to whether Ozil was present at the Emirates.When asked if the former Real Madrid star had attended the 4-2 victory, Emery again replied he ‘did not know’, according to the Independent.Ozil similarly missed Arsenal’s Europa League defeat of Vorskla on Thursday, while he was only named on the bench last weekend as the Gunners overcame Bournemouth on the south coast. Emery suggested after the Cherries defeat that Ozil lacked the ‘physicality and intensity’ for such an encounter.Ozil has made 12 appearances in total this season, scoring four goals and creating a further strike while wearing the captain’s armband against Leicester a couple of months ago.
