Former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan has described the Community Shield as the ugly little brother of domestic footballs major trophies.Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola yesterday questioned why the traditional Premier League curtain-raiser is not considered a serious one.The Spaniard lifted the shield back in August and City can still win all four major trophies, with the Carabao Cup already sealed.However, rather than a quadruple, Guardiola is confused as to why such a feat wouldnt be considered the quintuple.1

He said: That is the question. That is the question I would like to have an answer. The people say we won one title, so the Community Shield? Maybe it counts for last season, but last season when we went on holidays, it was not in our pocket.Of course in Spain, in Germany, where I have been, the Super Cup is an important trophy. Always we had the feeling we won two titles this season so far, we have three to play. So that is what we believe. So youre putting a canker sore at the end of a series of meaningful events.
