Paris Saint-Germains Qatari owners have been urged to help fund the rebuilding of Notre Dame cathedral after Mondays fire.LEquipe journalist Erik Bielderman believes the club should put their support behind the project and help in the restoration of one of the capitals most famous landmarks.The iconic Gothic church was devastated by a huge blaze on Monday night, which destroyed the 850-year-old buildings spire and roof.

Notre Dame is not only a Paris symbol along with Eiffel Tower, it is at the very heart of Paris, the deep centre of France.The meaning is not only religious, it is part of our culture.We dont regard Notre Dame as just a catholic cathedral. Its France, its humanity, its culture, its civilisation. Its like Big Ben or St Pauls in London.
